e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Highlighting Stick Review

If you hate highlights that are chunky, glittery or just too bright then I have the highlighter for you! That sounds like a terrible sales pitch but if those are things that you hate then I think you will love e.l.f.’sย Beautifully Bare Highlighting Stick in Fresh Morning Dew. These sticks are $4.00 a piece. They also offer it in the shades Champagne Glam and Pink Pearl Glow. However, I didn’t buy the other two because I have other highlights similar to them.

Fresh Morning Dew is a very subtle and totally clear highlight. There is no glitter in it. It is basically just a gloss for your face. In both pictures above it’s almost impossible to see on my skin. You can see that my wrist, where I put the swatch, and my cheekbone just have a bit of shine. I did not notice this pulling off my makeup but I did apply it by tapping it over my cheekbone and then blending it in with my fingers. It has a very tacky consistency which I found makes it an excellent base if you want to put a powder highlight over it.

I really liked this highlight. It looks beautiful, is long wearing and applied perfectly. I love how subtle and dewy it looks. As of right now, it’s my favorite highlight to pair with my BB Creams. If you have fine lines, acne or textured skin this is going to work great for you because it’s a wet highlight that doesn’t have glitter to draw attention to those problems. I liked it so much that I *might* buy the other two. If I do I will of course swatch and review them. Let me know if you would be interested in a clear highlight like this! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
